I have naturally curly hair, but since I flat iron it so much my hair won't curl anymore! What should I do?

Because it was so hard to manage my curly hair I began straightening it often to make it easier to deal with. Now I want to grow my hair longer and I want to wear it curly again but it isn't how it used to be. My roots are still curly but the rest of the length is straight. I've tried curling shampoos, conditioners, and mousse but they haven't really done too much. Does anyone have any suggests or tips on getting my cute spiral curls back?I have naturally curly hair, but since I flat iron it so much my hair won't curl anymore! What should I do?
Get a deep conditioning treatment, your moisture needs to be restored to your hair follicles.

perm?
perm it or tong it
Wash it, but dont dry it with a hair dryer. Wash it a few times, so it can curl back up.
Maybe try getting a perm and see if that may help bring back some of the curls.
you're just gonna have to wait until it grows out...It happened to me

You might consider perming it but that will damage your damaged ends even more

so

Just wait
try other products...and see which ones work for you. It's all about the experimenting with different ones. I also suggest using scrunching spray...
you'll have to wait until that hair grows out and gets cut off probably - figure at least one month per inch of hair
try infusim leave in conditioner and also when you wash your hair let it airdry with the regular conditioning in it. my daughter would do that after swimming and she had the funky look. very cute. ;)
I had the same problem. It sounds like you damaged your hair. The best solution is actually cutting it. I know it sounds drastic, but your hair will curl better with less weight. Then as it grows out, don't straighten it so much.
i think u shuld get ur hair treated at the salon and get ur hair healthy bcuz ironing it soo much isnt good so uve pretty much damaged your hair. sorry. treatments shuld work

hope i helped :D

i was in the same exact position like u i hated my curly hair flatened it every single day until it literly GOT FRIED :S i used a shampoo called biolage Fortyfing curls and used the conditioner and the leave in treatmend everyday after a shower and after a week my hair was back natural and curlyand now i LOVE it :D hope this helped :+)
This is what people get when they ignore the beauty of curly hair. I too have crazy curl hair but i deal with it and it works out
First off start by stop flat ironing it completely. Try deep condtioning it once a week with a reconstructor for 30 mins. (NO store bought.. just what a stylist would suggest for your hair) A line I like that is for all types of hair is Davines. It has a line for curly hair called love. It smells wonderful and works great . Also they have a couple of different reconstrutors you would like.

It depends on how long your hair is but sometimes length and the weight of your hair will pull down your curl. Get some layers cut into. GET YOUR HAIRCUT BY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO CUT CURLY HAIR.

I have curly hair too and flat ironed it for years. If you trim or significantly cut your hair the curls should bounce back. Sometimes if it is too long the weight pulls the curls out. Make sure it is highly moisturized, layered and you apply little to no products. I use Paul Mitchell's Round Trip and sometimes a light gel. The environment plays a big role too. NOw that I live in a warmer tropical environment it is much easier to manage curls. In a cold region the curls fall flat. Hope this helps!
shampoo ure hair as usual - DO NOT USE A DRYER - put approximately 1/2 tsp PANTEEN PROV on hands -rub hands together - then thru ure DRY HAIR, WORK IT THRU URE HAIR -push up on hair - DO NOT STYLE, ure hair will form its own curl- DO NOT USE DRYER OR COMB HAIR - JUST PUSH IT UP
