When flat ironing my hair?

when i flatiron my hair i want to know how to make my hair flat, like when i look up close i can see on the top of my head little hairs curling and stuff i dont want that there, same with my fringe i can see little hair sticking out i want my hair ';FLAT'; how can i do this without getting the crustly look like when hairspray is used..?When flat ironing my hair?
after straightening use a touch of shine control wax rub between your hands and stroke down your hair that should stop any bits sticking out...When flat ironing my hair?
use freeze and shine =)
There are other sprays that can be used. like Sexy's Soya Want Flat Hair. Section your hair into small sections and use your iron a couple times over your entire head.

There are lots of great products out there to assist the flat iron, like Chi products work great. also at protecting your hair.

Using smaller sections helps a lot better than using big chunks and going over it a couple times.
Actually, hairspray helps quite a bit if you use it the right way. Apply it like you would a hair protectant. Apply it on the are BEFORE you flat iron. It will instantly make your hair shiny and extremely smoothe and flat. Also, you can use a bit of watered-down gel on your roots. And try using a brush with spaced apart bristles and a smoothing creme.
rimour has it you spray some water on it and straighten it again
instead of flat ironing use a brush with heat....
i don't think you can straighten those little hairs. after your done straightening, use some anti frizz serum to make them stay down.
i don't know about you, but just spraying hairspray and gels on my roots make them really greasy. so i spray hairspray (or i guess you could use some sort of gell..) onto my palms and then just lightly push and smooth my fly-aways down. it takes a few tries, and some sticky hands but it really works and doesn't make my hair look nappy.
Firstly, those little hairs are hairs that have fallen out and are growning back, or have broken off over time. the only way to get them to lay down would be product. you could pull them out... but that would be stupid... otherwise, they will be there...

For best results, use an anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner. John Freida is good but i prefer Pantene ProV restoratives line. It fills the cracks of your hair with panthenol (silicone) and leaves it sleek and smooth. make sure you wash and rinse well or you'll have dull or oily hair. Next, you need a heat protection spray or the damage your straightener could cause could make your problem worse by braking even more hair. After the shower (or shampoo/condition) squeeze excess water from your hair with a towel.(don't rub, it could damage your hair also, and if you want it perfectly flat you have to do everything possible to prevent damage). spray the heat protection liberally through your damp hair and blow dry it on hot, keeping the dryer moving so you don't damage it or dry it completely. When your hair is about half-way dry, (don't dry it all the way with the dryer, just get the largest portion of moisture out) then spray a little more of the protection spray (not much or your hair will be stiff) and comb your hair. Start at the ends, gently.. if you feel resistance, don't pull the comb through, just ease it until it loosens on it's own, or you will again damage your hair. comb it how you want it to lay when you are finished straightening. now select small portions of your hair and straighten them until they are very close to dry (still not all the way yet). then use the comb again and get all of your hair straight, then comb it and follow the comb with the straightener (you can do much larger portions not, these are just the finishing touches) don't linger too long in one place or your hair will burn, or crimp and you don't want that. when you have it looking the way you want there will probably still be the tiny hairs sticking out. if they are through the length of your hair they can be smoothed with a leave-in conditioner or anti-frizz serum. be careful not to use too much or you'll get a greasy look.hairspray or gel hill harden your hair and it won't flow naturally, which is generall the desired effect when you desire straight hair. the hairs near your scalp are new hairs and will be very difficult to lay down without using pomade or gel or something. you could try to use the serum on them but it probably won't work. everyone has those, even movie stars... i promise.

hope this helped... and good luck.. it's time consuming but it works... clients ask for flat hair all the time... lol
Put Biosilk on it then straighten.
use straightening spray.... are you a boy?
