How do i keep my hairstyle from going flat without using lots of hairspray?

I have really straight flat hair and whenever i put curls in it either with rollers or curling iron, it seems to go flat. How do i make it stay longer without making it sticky and dry from hairspray?How do i keep my hairstyle from going flat without using lots of hairspray?

u get get a slightly curled perm and that would give it body r even color wash to put some more weight to it and it will be easier to control and hold curl. Good Luck!!! and Merry Christmas!!
