How do you reverse major split-ends and damage to hair?

MY HAIR TYPE: very thick, volumous. It can get frizzy too. Very long, slightly past middle of my back.

DAILY STYLING ROUTINE: 1. I put on Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Shampoo for a few minutes.

2. Shampoo %26amp; Condition with Herbal Essences Citrus Lift.

3. While in shower I put on the Paul Mitchell Instant Moisture Daily Treatment for about 3-5 minutes and rinse out.

4. While my hair is soaked I put on John Frieda Brilliant Brunnette Shine Shock Leave-on Perfecting Gloss.

5. After showering, I put on KIWI Leave-in Conditioner Spray Detangler %26amp; Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum

6. Sometimes Paul Mitchell Gloss Drops %26amp; S Factor Dream Drops Shine On!

7. Sponge-rollers overnight to curl.

PAST DAMAGE CAUSES: heat-styling, flat-ironing hair everyday, even when its soaking wet, no heat-protection. unproff. bleaching for highlights. Overusing products, over 9. [stopped doing this, hair is looking better]

But I still have damaged, split ends, dry on some partsHow do you reverse major split-ends and damage to hair?
No offense but it sounds like your mom need to realize what is best for you. Seems kinda selfish of her to be that way. Even if you want to keep your hair longer, even trimming a few inches can work wonders! I am growing my hair out now, it is a little below my boobs (lol) and I recently got it trimmed because I have very bad split ends and alot of breakage, it didn't fix the problem completely but even the few inches that got trimmed made my hair less tangled and frizzy, it made my hair FEEL better also. I use alot of conditioners and hair products also but it sounds like you may be overdoing it just a little. Try to stick to one shampoo %26amp; conditioner and maybe one additional deep moisturizing thick conditioner. I have cut back to this and if you MUST heat style or use a flat iron, get a protecting spray to lock in moisture, otherwise it will just drain the moisture out of your hair that you worked so hard to keep IN your hair lol Hope this helps! How do you reverse major split-ends and damage to hair?
Wow! It sounds like you're doing way too much to your hair. It's good that you're using fewer products. You should definitely stop with most of the heat-styling, flat-ironing, etc. That and the bleaching can really do serious damage to you hair.

Try Pantene's line of products. And use the minimal amount necessary (shampoo, conditioner, and just a little styling product if needed). Pantene is wonderful for damaged hair, including split ends. Like their commercials say, ';It (better-looking hair) won't happen overnight, but it WILL happen.'; Good luck! :)
I think u exaggerate it with ur hair!!! i mean thts too much shampoo ! i don't know if u know that extra treatment is like no treatment at all ... and never believe commercials about hair repairing shampoo .. Girl ur hair need a haircut .. some trimming maybe will do the stuff ... i have kind of similar hair and when the splits begin to get worse .. god the frizz will kill u !!!
try getting your split ends trimmed off by a professional, StOP using spunge rollers if you must use rollers use the magnetic kind, and get satin pillow cases
sorry but a trim to get rid of the split ends is the only permanent answer
The only thing to do is get a haircut. There isn't anything you can do with out getting it cut but then once you get cut just make sure to put some sort of heat protection in your hair before using a hair dryer or any other heat tool.
maybe u should use that dove rebuilding shampoo
yeah, Kit Kat's right. The Dove products work on all types of hair, including African hair and there is a major difference!
try herbal Essences bad hair brake up
I'm not sure how to fix split ends without getting a trim, but I do think you're using too many hair products. The person who cuts my hair at the salon I go to said there's only so much moisture your hair can hold, so using more conditioning products isn't going to help. And I think it is possible that using so many different products could do your hair more harm than good.
the herbal essence break's over conditioner works pretty well..and i'd say just stop using a lot of products on your hair..and #1 rule is no heat styling..that includes blow drying..give you hair a break and let it air dry for a couple months. Also, getting it cut often is probably the best thing to do for your split ends. good luck !
